Experience from the road and studio
With more than 45 years behind the kit, this site is built from real-world experience—live stages, recording sessions, rehearsals, touring schedules, and thousands of hours spent developing the craft of drumming. From clubs and theaters to casinos, festivals, and studio work, the focus has always been the same: delivering dependable, musical performances that serve the song and the audience.
This site serves two purposes:
First, it’s a YouTube repository for drummers looking to improve their playing through practical, experience-based insight drawn from years of live performance - From The Drum Riser. Topics include optimizing your playing space, playing to a click, working with in-ear monitors, dynamics, endurance, consistency, musical awareness, and the small details that separate average players from dependable professionals. You’ll also find honest perspectives on drum gear, touring realities, setup strategies, and the equipment that truly holds up under real performance conditions.
Second, this site is a professional home base (EPK) for artists, bands, producers, and musical directors seeking an experienced drummer for live performance, touring, tribute acts, recording sessions, or collaborative projects. My approach has always been rooted in preparation, professionalism, versatility, and playing for the music first—whether supporting classic rock material, progressive arrangements, original music, or studio productions.
If you’re a drummer looking to grow, a musician looking to collaborate, an interested fan, or an artist searching for a reliable player who understands both the musical and professional side of the business, you’re in the right place.
